Coconut Oil

So for all you south texan ladies, I was in my local H-E-B today and a 32 oz container of coconut oil caught my eye. I've heard about how great it is for your skin and hair, and at $4.98 a pop, why the heck not?! So I got it, went home, took out my twists and applied it to my scalp, ends, and roots. I combed with my wide tooth comb. Can I say this was one of the greatest purchases I have EVER made? I got unbelievable shine and moisture from less than a quarter size amount! Below is some wonderful tidbits about coconut oil! Hope y'all enjoy :)

Hair Care: Coconut oil is one of the best natural nutrition for hair. It helps in healthy growth of hair providing them a shinny complexion. Regular massage of the head with coconut oil ensures that your scalp is free of dandruff, lice, and lice eggs, even if your scalp is dry. Coconut oil is extensively used in the Indian sub-continent for hair care. It is an excellent conditioner and helps in the re-growth of damaged hair. It also provides the essential proteins required for nourishing damaged hair. It is therefore used as hair care oil and used in manufacturing various conditioners, and dandruff relief creams. Coconut oil is normally applied topically for hair care.

What the H?

Ok, I need to rant. I have no clue what the h my hair is doing lately! It's just not curling at all! I know it's not dry, I know it's not overconditioned, but the heiffa is just lying there! Not feeling it, not feeling it at all. I think my hair just doesn't like gel or something. When I was using the Tresemme curl care line...voila! But I stopped using it because some products had petroleum in it...should I go back? Or suffer through what is hopefull a short lived hair aberration?!!!

NewStuff

Ok, so I've decided that I'm going to start doing product reviews...mainly because I have so many of them, and because I want to get a feel for whats working and what isn't. I just finished a video, so it should be up shortly. Also, I'm gonna do a post on my regimen too :)

Hola Ladies!

My name is Jordan and I am currently a Freshman at the University of Texas. I've decided to return to my natural curls and what better way to document than to get a blog! Feel free to give me suggestions for what y'all want to see (it doesn't have to be about hair all the time), mingle, comment, and have fun!
